Filmmaker Ammu Ramesh’s debut directorial ‘Thambikkottai’ is complete now and the producers are planning to release their film by December. The film has an interesting concept in the backdrops as the story revolves around characters striving to raise a bridge between two towns that results into unexpected problems.
Taking a long break from Tamil Cinema, Narain makes his comeback in Kollywood with ‘Thambikkottai’ with Poonam Bajwa as his ladylove. Meena plays the role of Narain’s sister while Prabhu in an important character. Sangeetha will repeat her vamp role and Santhanam takes care of comedy portions.
Says Narain: ‘So far, my Tamil films have been based on exceptional themes and commercial quotients were literally lesser. For the first time, I have signed a commercial entertainer that will engage the universal audiences.’
On his turn, director Ammu Ramesh adds that the film will be a mixture of ‘Friends’ in the first half rip-roaring hilarious moments followed by action-packed sequences in second half.
