The latest news is that Vidya Balan will be taking up a role that is the polar opposite of that. Yes, the role of MS Subbulakshmi.
The cinematographer of “Kadal” and many magnificent movies, Rajiv Menon wants to do this movie with Vidya Balan in it. There is a catch though. An organization has come forward with an objection to this cast, they support and respect Rajiv Menon‘s idea for such a film about a legendary singer, but they do not want to see Vidya Balan play this seemly personality, specially not after her sexy appearance in “The Dirty Picture“.
We have to wait and see if Vidya Balan gets the role or not.
