It was announced some months ago that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be joining hands with the Malayalam star Mohanlal for the first time. This film, which has been titled Jilla, will be produced by RB Choudhury of Super Good Films.
Nesan will be making his debut as director with this flick and the pre-production work is going on at a breakneck speed. It is expected that Vijay will concentrate in Jilla as soon as he completes AL Vijay’s directorial venture.
Enquiries about Jilla’s heroine revealed that Kajal Agarwal has bagged the offer. It may be recalled that she was Vijay’s arm candy in the recent blockbuster Thuppaki.

Latest addition in Vijay’s Jilla!!!
Vijay’s Jilla has another addition to its cast list in the form of young and upcoming actress Niveda Thomas.
She plays Mohanlal’s daughter and Vijay’s younger sister in this Nesan directed venture. She has a strong role in the movie and she influences her brother’s thought process in a positive way.
The 17 year old Niveda is thrilled to share the screen space with two superstars in the form of Vijay and Mohanlal. The shoots of Jilla will commence in the second week of May.
Kajal Aggarwal and Mahat Raghavendra also have sizable roles in Jilla, which would release for Pongal 2014.
