Actress Sonakshi Sinha, Bollywood’s most successful heroine in recent times, had a major setback recently. Reportedly, the plumb beauty was dropped out from Salman Khan‘s upcoming flick ‘Kick‘ (Hindi remake of Ravi Teja‘s Kick) due to her hefty price hike. Producer-turned-Director Sajid Nadiawala took the decision to replace Sonakshi Sinha with Deepika Padukone.
With back-to-back blockbusters like Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore, Son Of Sardaar and Dabangg 2, Sonakshi Sinha has became the most sought after actress in Bollywood. The same reason might have tempted the actress to go for a pay hike. Unfortunately, Sonakshi Sinha’s move has cost her a biggie and that too losing a film opposite Salman Khan who was her support system is a big blow.
Sources say, Sonakshi Sinha had already been paid the signing amount much before she demanded the pay hike. Being firm on the money aspects has damaged her equation with the makers. Another valid point to cast Deepika Padukone is that her pairing with Salman Khan looks fresh onscreen as they are teaming up for the first time. Sonakshi Sinha‘s loss is Deepika Padukone‘s gain!
