Actress Samantha has bagged a big deal in Tollywood. The actress has signed the dotted lines to star in Kandireega 2.
Ram Charan Teja was the initial choice to play the lead role in this flick as he was the hero in the prequel but owing to certain developments he has been replaced by Junior NTR.
The star is reported to have liked the script so much that he decided to take up the role offered. We also hear that Samantha is thrilled that she is pairing up with Junior NTR and is looking forward for this film. Santhosh Srinivas will be wielding the megaphone for Kandireega 2 while Bellamkonda Suresh will be producing it.
Mahesh Babu & Junior NTR trying to be different
When it comes to scoring hits, most heroes in Tollywood are getting it only from mass entertainers. But it looks like senior stars like Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR still don’t want to take that same path for scoring hits.
Superstar Mahesh Babu has changed path after scoring two hits with action entertainers ‘Dookudu‘ and ‘Businessman‘. His latest offering is Seethamma Vaakitlo, which is touted to be a family entertainer with loads of Telugu-nativity into it. And, his movie with Sukumar is shaping up as a different love story as our director is specialized in such scripts. In all these ventures Mahesh Babu is not repeating his mass-action like a Dookudu or Businessman.
In the same way young tiger Junior NTR is also trying to be different with ‘Baadshah‘. Afterwards he is going to do the first love-story of his life under Harish Shankar‘s direction. Maybe this flick is aimed at wooing woman audiences. Later, NTR will team up either with Srikanth Addala or Trivikram Srinivas to do another family entertainer.
When most heroes are leading Box Office with masala-entertainers, we have to see how Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR prove that they are different.
Director Denies Rumours About Mahesh Babu’s Film
Director Sukumar confirmed that the shooting of his upcoming flick starring Mahesh Babu will commence early next year. The director said that since the star is busy with Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, the shooting had to be rescheduled.
When asked about the title for this film, Sukumar said that he has not finalised on any title till now and all the titles that are doing rounds in the media are just a figment of someone’s wild imagination.
Well then, we have to wait for an official announcement on the title!
