Much awaited Mani Ratnam’s Kadal is on the final stages of its shooting. While the news was out that the music will be launched officially today, the latest add on to the store is that it will happen on 17th of this December. is an upcoming Tamil film being directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film features debutant Gautham Karthik, son of actor Karthik and debutant Thulasi Nair, daughter of Radha in the lead roles.
The film will be dubbed and released simultaneously in Telugu. Music has been scored by the Academy Award winner AR Rahman.
On November 3, 2012, the song ‘Nenjukkule’ opened up worldwide as a performance by singer Shakthisree Gopalan in the first episode of MTV Unplugged India: Season 2, aired over MTV India channel. In an interview, the composer stated that the performed unplugged song would differ slightly from the studio recorded version where only the latter features in soundtrack album. The song garnered overwhelming response with positive feedback from several viewers over the internet.
The soundtrack has seven songs in the album.Initially the audio was supposed to be a soft launch on November 23, 2012, with the soundtracks digital availability in the market but now its officially confirmed that soundtrack album is scheduled to release on 17th December 2012.
