Debut director Prem Sai, who had assisted Prabhu Deva in several films, has finally roped in Yami Gautham as the leading lady for his Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum. The director was scouting for a suitable heroine for this flick and decided on Yami Gautham.
Yami Gautham will be paired opposite Jai in Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum while VTV Ganesh and Santhanam play important roles.
Om Prakash will be cranking the camera for this venture and Rajeevan will take care of the art department. Karthik has scored the music and Brinda master will choreograph the dance sequences. Stunts are by Dilip Subburayan and editing is by Anthony.
Why Yami Gautham was considered
Yami Gautham has been roped in for the bilingual Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum and its Telugu version Courier Boy Kalyan. The initial choice for this role was Abhinaya but considering that it is a bilingual and the filmmaker wanting a heroine who is a well-known face in Kollywood as well as Tollywood, it was decided to replace her with the Vicky Donor girl Yami Gautham.
While Yami Gautham will be paired opposite Jai in the Tamil version it will be Nitin in the Telugu version.
Director Prem Sai has filmed 40 per cent of the shooting with Nitin for Courier Boy Kalyan and all that remains now is the filming of scenes with Yami Gautham and Nitin. This will be done soon after Diwali, states a press note from the filmmakers.
