Actress Vidya Balan came close to Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2010 during the shooting of his studio’s film, No One Killed Jessica. She admitted dating the UTV honcho in an interview in May 2012. Since then, the two have been spotted together at private parties and vacations. And now the recent we hear is that they have planned their wedding that is set to happen on December 14 in the presence of family and only the closest friends.
The one-day affair will take place, not at any five-star destination, but at the sprawling Cuffe Parade apartment in Jolly Maker Towers, which belongs to SRK’s parents. the duo will not host their reception in the city. Instead, they will be flying off to Chennai for the event.
A source close to Vidya Balan reveals, “Vidya is from Chennai. That’s why after the Mumbai ceremony, the couple, along with their families, will head there. Like the wedding, the reception is also expected to be a quiet affair and not something grand. Apart from a few close friends, only their family members will be present for it.”
Vidya Balan’s trousseau has been designed by Sabyasachi and she plans to wear saris for the special day. The couple intend to take off on a Caribbean cruise two days after the wedding. This is the same cruise plan which was earlier meant to be a family affair. Once back, the newly-weds will walk straight into their Rs 14-crore Juhu apartment that Siddharth had bought last year.
Currently, Vidya Balan is busy preparing her designer trousseau for the big day.
“Wedding preparations are in full-swing. Vidya Balan is very particular about what she wants to wear and how she wants the whole ceremony to take place. She is personally instructing everyone working on the wedding,” adds the source.
