Actress Samantha was in for a rude shock when the news spread out that Shruti Hassan has replaced her in Yevadu, which has Ram Charan Teja as the lead star. Earlier, Samantha and Amy Jackson were considered for the role but for some reasons Samantha has been ousted and Shruti Hassan brought it.
It may be mentioned here that Samantha had lost two good opportunities this year – Mani Ratnam’s Kadal and Shankar’s I – and was looking to make up for the loss by signing up some high budget films starring young and leading heroes. She was banking her hopes on Yevadu but that has gone out of her hands as well.
