Mani Ratnam’s Kadal movie starrer Gautham and Thulasi Nair – the 15 year old girl has recently revealed about the movie experience and working in her debut film. It seems the 10th std girl has undergone losing weight for this new venture. Initially when auditioned, Thulasi was not chosen. But later, when Samantha stepped back, the offer went back to Thulasi. She says, if not for Mani Ratnam, I wouldn’t be in films!
Thulasi Nair and Gautham used to repeat the scenes until Mani shows them the thumbs up sign, which made them happy that the shot has come out well. About this new look, she says that she almost shed 12 KGs. She and Gautham also took up the 20 day acting workshop conducted by Mani Ratnam’ crew.When asked about Gautham, she added that he is a cool and great guy to work with. And Karthika, her sister always helps her out in all possible ways.
Now the actress has signed her second project titled ‘Yaan’. She will be seen with Jeeva, the same actor her sister Karthika Nair started her career with, a few years back. shooting for the film will only start after both the actors are free from the current projects,” a source reveals. Cinematographer Ravi K.Chandran will make his directorial debut with ‘Yaan’, which will be made under Eldred Kumar’s banner RS Infotainment.The 15-year-old actress replaced Kajal Agarwal, after the makers were impressed with her work in ‘Kadal’.
We should note that no where in the net or magazine , her photo has been released. Mani Ratnam wants to keep both Gautham and Thulasi’s photos for the final work after the shoot! And doesn’t want to release any of the movie poster as of now.With expectations high, we hope the outcome to be the best! Good luck both the new comers!
