She might not have signed on any flick in Tamil after Vaanam, but Vega is excited about the release of her Hindi film, ‘Chittagong’. The film is based on the famous Chittagong Uprising, and Vega plays the role of Pritilata, who was part of the armed resistance movement led by Surya Sen. It seems a lot of research was done for the making of the film and since, most of the records including Lata’s diary were in Bengali, Director Bedabrata translated to the whole crew.
Veda says that playing a real life character comes with a lot of responsibility, and she hopes she has done justice with it. Meanwhile, Vega will also be seen in a romcom with Vir Das. The film is directed by Ajay Buya, who directed Telugu remake of Houseful with Veda. She also stated that she has been offered with three films in Kollywood, but after being part of some good films , she doesn’t want to sign on movies that she shall regret doing it later. She is also being choosy and selective with both the script and character.
