After getting on the cast list of Mani Ratnam‘s next flick ‘Kadal‘, actress Thulasi has signed her next film and will be pairing up with Jeeva. The project, titled ‘Yaan‘ will be cinematographer Ravi K Chandran‘s directorial debut in Tamil Cinema.
The producers of the film decided to choose Thulasi instead of Kajal Agarwal, after the starlet impressed in Kadal. This is great news for the actress, indeed.
Thulasi is the younger daughter of yesteryear actress Radha and is the sister of Karthika Nair whom we saw in Ko. Like her sister, Thulasi will be doing the film under the banner of Eldred Kumar‘s RS Infotainment just like Karthika started off her career with Ko.
Another interesting coincidence is that Thulasi is also being introduced by a cinematographer-turned-director after another one in KV Anand presented her elder sister, again with Jeeva.

Director Manirathnam has revealed a song in the unplugged round from the film Kadal directed by Manirathnam. The lyrics infact the poem were penned by Vairamuthu starting as Nenjukulley and sung by Sakthisree Gopalan. 10 days back the song was aired and till now the singer has been flooded with messages congratulating her performance and her mellifluous voice. The words were uttered with perfect clarity and the number of hits for this song is only increasing minute by minute. She has been back singing vocals for AR Rahman.
Recently she had been to the studio for some other project and happened to meet ARR who asked if she could sing. She thought this would also be considered as a track and gave her best though she was quite nervous. Mani ratnam’s upcoming movie Kadal featuring Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair is wrapped up. While everyone is waiting for the audio launch at the moment, the first look poster of the film has been released.
Recently Gautham Karthik talking on the first look poster of his movie Said, “Iam playing the role of a fisherman from Rameshwaram, the poster shows my back shot looking into the vast ocean seeking for an answer.”
Gautham was happy that he has waited for his chance patiently for such a longtime. He believes finally the fruits of all the hard work everyone has put into this film will see the light of the day. The actor remarked “I thank all of you for your love and support and hope I make you guys proud of me and what the unit has accomplished with this film. Never been so happy in my life!!! I am dancing on the moon doing the tango with the stars!!!!”
After the AR Rahman track created the much needed hype for the movie, expectations are high from the young lad. The movie also features Arvind Swamy, Arjun and Lakshmi Manchu. We wish him all the very best.
