The current heartthrob of Kollywood Surya has successfully completed 15 years in the industry. The actor, the elder son of veteran Sivakumar, debuted in tamil cinemas through Vasanth‘s ‘Nerrukku Ner‘ in 1997 at the age of 22.
With 32 films to his career, the actor has worked up with all the top directors such as Mani Ratnam, Gautham Menon, Vasanth, AR Murugadoss, KV Anand, Bala, Hari et al. Suriya is now waiting for his Maattrraan release, which has raised huge expectations among his fans. The other films lined up are Singam 2 with Hansika Motwani and Anushka and Gautham Menon’s directorial Thuppariyum Anandan, among many others.
Surya to dub for Maatran in Telugu
It has been announced that Maatraan which has Surya in the lead role is to be released on 12th October. This film which has been directed by KV Anand is also being released in Telugu with the title Brothers. Many of Surya’s films have been dubbed in Telugu but someone would have dubbed his voice in Telugu.
For Maatraan, Surya has decided to dub in Telugu in his own voice.Karthi after seeing the great success of his film Aayirathil Oruvan in Telugu started learning Telugu and has started dubbing in Telugu in his own voice. Like Karthi, Surya has also decided to dub for Maatraan in Telugu.
It was earlier Vijay but now it is Surya
After Salman Khan joined hands with Prabhu Deva in the film Wanted, all the Salman Khan’s films have earned more than Rs 100 Crores. The film Wanted is the remake of the Telugu film Pokkiri.
Later on this film was remade in Tamil with the same title which had Vijay in the lead role. This film which was directed by Prabhu Deva turned out to be a super duper hit. Now once again Salman Khan is going to join hands with Prabhu Deva in a film to be produced by TIPS.
TIPS had already acquired the remake rights of the super hit Tamil film Ayan which had Surya in the lead role. KV Anand had directed this film in Tamil. It is understood that Salman Khan will don the lead role in the remake of the Tamil film Ayan which is to be directed by Prabhu Deva.
Prabhu Deva put his foot in Bollywood by directing the remake of Pokkiri in Hindi. Now it is understood that by directing the remake of Ayan, he will go up in his career as director in Bollywood. It has been planned to commence the shooting of Ayan during the year 2013. Ayan was a great success at the box office. Bollywood sources say that since Salman Khan is donning the lead role in the remake of the Ayan, it is bound to be a super hit film.
Prabhu Deva is currently directing the remake of the Tamil film Unakkum Enakkum in Hindi. This film has Girish Kumar and Shruti Hassan in the lead roles. After completing this film, he will commence the shooting of Ayan in Hindi.
