Actor Srikanth’s Nanban brought him all glory. The remake of 3 Idiots directed by Shankar worked wonders. Srikanth reprised the role enacted by Madhavan in the original, winnig critical acclaims. Now a fresh and fit-looking Srikanth is thrilled with his next Paagan, directed by debutant Mohammad Aslam, hitting the screens today.
Speaking about Paagan, Srikanth says, ‘it is a romantic -comedy and has come good. All credit should go to my director Aslam and his team.’
He says, ‘Paagan means a mahout. Every mahout will show boundless love towards his elephant. So is my character. But here he loves and cares for his bicycle, which plays an important part in his life. It is a novel theme. We have conveyed a strong message through the film that everyone should strive hard to come up in life and there is no place for short-cuts. Thanks to Vendhar Movies, who are releasing the movie in a big way, Paagan is being screened in maximum screens.’





















With Paagan hitting the screens last Friday, actor Srikanth chose to visit various theatres where the movie was screened and interacted with his fans.
He was accompanied by Kovai Sarala, who plays Srikanth’s mother in the film. Directed by Mohammad Aslam, the movie featured Janani Iyer opposite Srikanth. Parotta Suri and A Venkatesh were also part of the cast.
Music is by James Vasanthan. A comedy caper, the movie speaks about the hero’s love for his bicycle laced with a strong message.
Srikanth says, ‘I am happy with audience response. I thank my director and the whole crew for giving me an opportunity to be part of such a project’.
