Jayam Ravi celebrates his birthday today (September 10). The actor who enjoys a good record of hits is currently working on few promising flicks.
Ravi has worked on many films with brother, director Jayam Raja, and together they have delivered several blockbusters, including Jayam, M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi, Something Something Unnakkum Ennakkum, Santosh Subramaniam and Thillalangadi.
He is currently working on three big projects. He’s supposed to be seen in an entirely different role in ‘Aadhi Bhagavan‘ and was spotted in a different look while shooting for this film helmed by Ameer. He is cast opposite Neetu Chandra in it.
Meanwhile, Nimirndhu Nil sees him in dual roles and is helmed by Samuthirakani, he is cast opposite Amala Paul in it. ‘Boologam’ with Trisha is a commercial venture produced by Aascar Films. The film sees him as a boxer.

He made his directorial debut with the unreleased film ‘Paanch’, which was followed by a controversial film ‘Black Friday’ about the 1993 Bombay Bombings.Kashyap is best known for making films on bold storylines and experimental themes.As a filmmaker, some of his best works include films like ‘No Smoking’, ‘Dev D’, ‘Gulaal’, ‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’, ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.As a screenwriter, his major works include films like ‘Satya’, ‘Water’, ‘Udaan’, ‘Shool’, ‘Kaun’ and few other films.He has also acted in few films like ‘I Am’, ‘Luck By Chance’, ‘Black Friday’, ‘Yuva’ and few others.Kashyap was formerly married to his girlfriend Aarti and the couple have a daughter named Aaliya. After their divorce, Kashyap married actress Kalki Koechlin in 2011.The director is busy as producer and director for handful of hindi projects.
