Having produced and distributed a string of successful ventures under his banner Cloud Nine Movies such as Mankatha, Thamizh Padam, Paiyaa, and Azhagar Samiyin Kudhirai, Dhayanidhi Alagiri is currently producing Arulnidhi‘s Thagararu.

He hails from a powerful political family with his father being a Union Minister and his grandfather the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
