Veteran comedian Goundamani‘s mother Kaliyammal passed away at her native place on Friday due to ill health. She was 87.
Sources said she was living with her daughter in Udumalpet. Some time last month she suffered a fall from the stairs and suffered serious injuries.
She had been ill since then, it is said. The funeral was conducted on Saturday in which Goundamani, his family members, relatives and others took part.
The actor is famous for his series of comedy roles in films like ‘Mannan‘, ‘Ullathai Allithaa,’ ‘Suriyan‘ and ‘Mettukudi‘ among others.
