Thiruthani is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Perarasu, starring Bharath in dual roles and Sunaina as the female lead, whilst Rajkiran, Pandiarajan and Ashish Vidyarthi also play pivotal roles. The film is expected to release in 2012.
Perarasu has carved a niche for himself as a director and now we get to see him in a new avatar – as a music director. He has also penned the lyrics for all the songs in the film. Since there is a huge expectation on the album as the music has been composed by Perarasu, let’s check it out…

The song has borrowed 90 per cent of the lyrics from songs like ‘Thirupati vandha thiruppam…’ and ‘Vaada vaada thozha…’. The same tunes have been used with some new lyrics added. Seems to be like an opening song as it is loaded with advice. The song will be a treat for ardent Kuthu song lovers… otherwise it is also an old wine in a new bottle…!

With poetic lyrics and innovative music, this song is pleasure to listen. Perarasu has explained the depth of love with the lyrics. Compared to the other songs in the album, this song is distinctive… hence pleasant!

This is a ‘kalakkal’ kuthu number in T Rajendar’s voice. Perarasu has included the lyrics of several songs and the music of various numbers in this song. It will certainly be a treat for the C centre audiences.

This is a very ‘local’ song with the music also being mediocre. Once again old wine in a bottle. Perarasu has made a mark as a director but did not do well as a music director. All songs seem to be a copy of the songs from his earlier ventures.
