Buzz is that the Heroine actor recently floored the cast and crew of Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming movie with her conversational skills in the Maharashtrian language.
The oh-so-glamorous Kareena Kapoor surprised those present on the sets of her upcoming movie Heroine by speaking in fluent Marathi. “When Bebo learned that most of the unit guys were Maharashtrians, she conversed with them in Marathi. In fact, her fluent Marathi took even Madhur by surprise. During the shoot, Madhur Bhandarkar and Kareena Kapoor would talk in Marathi and it used to be fun listening to them,” a birdie revealed. Whoa! Now that’s some news, isn’t it?

But it reminds us of the jungli billi of Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra who, after playing the Marathi mulgi in Kaminey and Agneepath, has grown so interested in the language that she plans to take some serious Marathi lessons soon.
So when not busy juggling her marriage dates and avoiding questions about weddings from the media, would Bebo be interested in tutoring her current BFF Piggy Chops in the language of aamchi Mumbai? Now that would be such an interesting class to eyes-drop on, no? Wink, wink.

Will Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’ be like Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Fashion’?
Going by director Madhur Bhandarkar’s track record, it doesn’t seem to be too far away from what could be the case
The first look of Madhur Bhandarkar’s Kareena Kapoor-starrer, Heroine was released yesterday. It seems to be dramatic and very very filmi, the kind of role that Kareena Kapoor would excel at. Over the years we have seen the evolution of the Bhandarkar school of filmmaking, and how he thrives on clichés and spins sob stories around them.
We were amused when we read a cynical tweet on Heroine, and we had to share it with you. “Small town girl -> Idol big star -> Bbay -> Fail auditions -> Grimy prods -> Castingcouch -> Fame -> Jealousy -> Drugs -> Downfall. #Heroine.”
This pattern is similar to that of the Priyanka Chopra starrer Fashion. We expected Bebo to ensure that there are no common points between her film and that of her arch rival Priyanka. What really made us giggle was the cheesy tagline for the film: Yeh Film Industry hai. Yahan ya to manipulate kar lo, ya ho jao. (This is the film industry, either you manipulate, or get manipulated.)
That was enough to confirm our worst fears, but we will still queue up at the BO when the film releases. After all, it is Bebo’s most ambitious film yet, she says, a role that she has dug her teeth into with her eyes set firmly on winning a National Award!
Is Kareena Kapoor Priyanka Chopra’s new BFF?
The Barfi! actor dropped in on the sets of Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine and did the unthinkable!
Looks like Priyanka Chopra is in a mood to rekindle her friendships with her peers in B-town. But hold on, we’re in no way hinting at the first ladies of Bollywood. Guess there’s still a while left before the jungli billi mends those rather frayed bonds. Here we’re talking about Pee Cee’s arch rival in the industry, Kareena Kapoor.
It so happened that Twitter savvy Piggy Chops, who loves to keep us updated on her reel and real life through this micro-medium, recently tweeted, “Hopped in on @mbhandarkar268 s set of heroine and hung out with Bebo and my entire fashion team..such fond memories..” Ahem ahem.
The tweet reminded us about the memories we had of Priyanka and Bebo’s…err…chemistry. If we recall correctly, in reply to Bebo’s remark about Priyanka’s accent the Teri Meri Kahani actor said, “I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend (Saif Ali Khan) got his.” And after that we even heard Ms Chopra saying, “I’m flattered that Kareena thinks I am a good actress. But otherwise I don’t think people take Bebo too seriously.” Now these memories seem far from fond. Don’t they, Priyanka?
What’s more, Madhur Bhandarkar said, “It was our pleasure to have you on the sets of #Heroine. Your Jalwa will always remain the same.” Ouch! Does that mean he is expecting Bebo dearest to match Priyanka’s standards? We don’t know, not yet. But would love to know what KK has to say about it all. Wink, wink.
Priyanka Chopra gets inked
Priyanka Chopra is the latest actor to enter the Bollywood tattoo club. While Deepika and Saif got their lover’s name inked, the Agneepath star chose to get a tattoo done on her right wrist which reads: “Daddy’s lil girl…”
Clad in a gray full-length tube jumpsuit, Priyanka Chopra made quite a statement at the Mumbai airport. With bod like that, who wouldn’t! The Bollywood beauty was also seen sporting bangs. The hairdo totally works for her.
But the more noteworthy focus of this appearance is clearly the stamp she bore. Priyanka Chopra was snapped flaunting her very first tattoo. It isn’t confirmed yet if this is a permanent one or just a quick scribble.
The tattoo doesn’t evoke a wow, we feel. Scroll down and take the poll to express what you feel about it.
BOLLYWOOD FRONT:
After successful Agneepath and unimpressive Teri Meri Kahaani, she will now be seen in Barfi! opposite Anjaana Anjaani co-star Ranbir Kapoor. Priyanka Chopra is playing an autistic girl in the film. SEE PICS
Priyanka Chopra will also star in Krish 3 and Zanjeer remake.
PERSONAL FRONT:
There is right now no buzz about the 30-year-old’s love life. We guess all her focus is on career now.
Ranbir and Priyanka steal the show with ‘Ala Barfi!’
Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi!’ is making the right kind of noises in the industry. This Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer film got a very positive response when the first teaser was released. And since then the curiosity over the film has just been growing.
The makers of the film released the title song of the film on Friday and by the looks of it, the song and film has sweet old world charm to it.
Mohit Chauhan has sung ‘Ala Barfi!’ to the tunes of Pritam. The song features the lead cast-Ranbir, Priyanka Chopra and south actress Ileana. Ranbir Kapoor plays a deaf and dumb man while Priyanka plays a girl with autism.
Even though two of its protagonists are handicapped in the film, Basu makes the premise heartwarming and endearing and almost comical. While
Handicap in Hindi films is dealt mostly on a serious note, but here Ranbir is seen doing funny antics throughout the video
