Ajith on Monday shot for his portions in Sridevi’s comeback film English Vinglish. The movie also marks the directorial debut of Gouri Shinde, wife of acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Balki.
The cameo by Ajith will be one of the highlights of the movie’s Tamil version. In the Hindi version, Amitabh Bachchan has done the cameo. Ajith’s scenes were shot in Mumbai on Monday.
Sridevi, making a comeback after 15 years, is reaching new heights even before the release of her film. English Vinglish is going to be premiered at Toronto International Film Festival this year which is going to be held from September 6-16.
The film stars Sridevi, Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou and Priya Anand. It is scheduled to be part of the highly coveted Galas’ section for a world premiere.
English Vinglish is a story of a woman’s struggle with the English language and the insecurities she faces because of it. The film shot mostly in New York captures her transformational journey.
