The film was about how Janardhan Jakhar a.k.a. JJ and Jordan, who dreams of becoming a big rockstar. He undergoes an emotional change to do so and during the process, a love story follows with a girl named Heer, which takes him from India to Prague.
The film directed by Imtiaz Ali was a commercial hit where Ranbir’s character brought him awards for best actor from Filmfare and Star Screen & AR Rahman also received several awards for his music, including Filmfare and Zee TV.
The jury members for the film music category include Jatin Pandit, Javed Akhtar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kunal Kohli, Nagesh Kukunoor, Prasoon Joshi, Rajiv Kenkre, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Rajesh Roshan, Ramesh Sippy, Resul Pookutty, Shamir Tandon and Udit Narayan.
