Tamil cinema’s path breaking director K Balachandar‘s cult classics Thillu Mullu and Manmadha Leelai are being remade.
The director’s daughter producer Pushpa Kandasamy has confirmed it.
Thillu Mullu had Rajnikanth in the lead while Manmadha Leelai had Kamal Hassan. Both these stars are also the “best known discoveries” of KB. Talks arein final stages for remaking it with today’s stars.
Pushpa Kandasamy feels that both the films for which she holds the remake rights has an evergreen value about it. She feels it has great potential to be remade with today’s stars and a modern milieu.
