Director AR Murugadoss had announced earlier that the teaser trailer of Thuppaki would be would either on 1st or 2nd of July.
However, this did not happen as announced. Enquiries now revealed that the filmmakers are sorting out the legal issues on the title and once this is resolved, the teaser would be out.
Debut filmmaker Ravi Devan had knocked at the doors of the court seeking a ban on the use of the title Thuppaki for this Vijay starrer as he had registered the title Kalla Thuppaki in 2009 and the designs of both these films are so similar that it would cause confusion. Following this, the court had also ordered that makers of Thuppaki not to use the title.
Since the title issue is still not settled, AR Murugadoss, Vijay and all those associated with Thuppaki are trying to resolve it as soon as possible.

Thupakki which is directed by Murugadoss with Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead is in the news for the title. Even though there is a serious title problem the makers and director are very serious with their job and are planning for Diwali release which has been announced earlier.
But Vijay, Murugadoss and Harris fans are eagerly waititng for the audio release of the film. The music Director Harris Jayaraj is on the last leg of final mixing and if things go as planned the audio will be released by 29th of this month.
So, lets wait for the official confirmation.
