The news is finally out and official! Surya plays conjoined twins in Maatraan, directed by KV Anand.
Speaking about this film in a press meet held yesterday, KV Anand made it clear that Maatraan is not inspired from any Hollywood flicks as stated by a section of the media. The director, however, clarified that he was inspired to make the film after reading about the Siamese twins Eng and Chua.
Maatran’s lead star Surya said that every film is a challenge to him as he has the immense responsibility of satisfying his fans and hoped this film would do just that. He also thanked the director KV Anand and producer AGS Entertainment Kalpathi S Aghoram for giving him the opportunity.
The filmmakers were noncommittal about the release date because one more song remains to be shot and the film requires substantial computer graphics work.
The audio launch of this film may most probably be held on Surya’s birthday, July 23rd or a week later.
