When the whole of Kollywood and Tollywood is singing paeans on SS Rajamouli, the man behind the bilingual blockbuster ‘Naan Ee‘, the director can’t stop raving about Rajnikanth, the one and only Superstar of Tamil cinema.
“Rajnikanth sir is my favourite actor in Kollywood. I always wanted to meet him as a fan. I met him during a function once. But before I could speak to him, he was surrounded by others. So I stayed back,” the filmmaker says.
He adds: “After Magadheera released, I got a call from Rajnikanth sir and he said I had done a fantastic work. My joy knew no bounds. And recently, he called me up again and appreciated my work in Naan Ee.”
“How can I ask for more? I am still flying high. Because, Rajnikanth sir is the one artiste whom I admire more than anyone. Hearing good words from him about my work is really special,” concludes SS Rajamouli.
SS Rajamouli has definitely become one of the most wanted directors in Tamil cinema with his very debut in Tamil! Another welcome talent from Telugu cinema indeed, remember, the director is one of the most celebrated filmmakers in Tollywood.
