Despite his acting and dancing credentials, it is common knowledge that actor Simbu specializes in discussing and revealing about the many ‘personal’ matters of self. This trait has been witnessed in the past in some of the films and readers might be able to recall instances in his earlier films which were closely related to his personal life.
The actor is presently starring in as many as three films including Vettai Mannan, Poda Podi and Vaalu. He is paired opposite Deeksha Seth and Hansika Motwani in Vettai, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in Poda Podi and again opposite Hansika Motwani in Vaalu. As if these aren’t enough, he has reently announced the launch of Manmadhan-2, the sequel to his highly successful film Manmadhan (2004).
Before you start wondering as to how an actor would be able to contribute his best by diverting his energies in starring in as many as four films simultaneously, have this: inside sources say that the planned sequel might ‘spill the beans’ of the actor’s failed affair with actress Nayantara with whom he paired up in another hit film Vallavan. The couple had a highly-publicised affair which was followed by an acrimonious split.
Simbu has roped in as many as six heroines for the sequel film and the list includes the likes of Tamanna, Anushka, Ileana and Trisha. However, he is yet to decide as to whom to cast in the role of Nayantara, his ex-flame. The film would have music by AR Rahman and would go to floors shortly.
Besides playing the lead role, Simbu would also be penning the film’s story, dialogues and screenplay.
