Vijay TV‘s Saravanan Meenakshi is one of most favorite tele-serials. The serial airing on Vijay TV Monday – Friday has completed more than 200 episodes now.
According to the story of ‘Saravanan Meenakshi‘ the wedding of the couple would be telecast on 27 July 2012 from 2030 hrs to 2230 hrs as two hour special episode. This is the first time ever that a couple which is so popular amongst viewers is celebrated and their wedding is anxiously watched by one and all. The wedding sequences have been shot in ‘Karaikudi’ with hundreds of artistes and technicians involving in the shoot, which is equal to a movie production.
The star cast of this popular serial includes Mirchi Senthil (Saravanan), Srija (Meenakshi), Rajasekar, Kuyili, YV Subramaniam, Stalin, Ramya, Suchitra, Sai and many others. The serial is directed by Azhagar, story, screenplay, dialogue Kadhiravan and cinematography by Gopal.

Saravanan Meenakshi is a story of love, life and marriage; as the title establishes; the story revolves around the lives of the two characters Saravanan and Meenatchi. The story began as the two families of Saravanan & Meenatchi meet to for the traditional “visiting of the girl’s house”; but things go wrong; and an enemity rises between the two families and the wedding doesn’t happen. As their lives continue after that incident; Saravanan and Meenatchi find themselves falling in love with some twist of fate. The couple then decides to face all odds; convince their families and get married. After so many hurdles the marriage date is fixed for the couple and every one is eager to witness their wedding ceremony.
