Some time back, it was reported in these columns that director Gautham Menon would be producing the film Tamilselvanum Thaniyaar Anjalum through his production house Photon Kathaas. The bilingual would be made simultaneously in Telugu with the title Courier Boy Kalyan. It was earlie reported that Richa Gangopadhyay had been cast as Jai’s heroine in the film.
It now turns out that though a photo session was shot with Richa Gangopadhyay, she hasn’t yet been finalized as the heroine as it was felt that Richa Gangopadhyay looked somewhat ‘more matured’ than that was required for the character. Gautham Menon reportedly spoke to Abinaya (who has starred in films such as Nadodigal) but couldn’t get her call-sheet dates on the days he wanted the shoot to be held.
