It is indeed a saddest day in the history of Indian cinema with Bollywood’s first Superstar Rajesh Khanna passed away. The end of this 69-year-old came at his residence.
Rajesh Khanna has been suffering from health issues for long and was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. He was discharged from the hospital recently after his health condition improved. Unfortunately, Rakesh Khanna’s health suffered a major setback today morning and his end came.
Rajesh Khanna leaves behind his estranged wife and actress Dimple Kapadia, whom he divorced in 1984, and the couple has two daughters Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna out of the wedlock.
The entire film industry is bereaving his death and film personalities are making a beeline to his residence to pay their last respects.

Stars and fans bid adieu to Rajesh Khanna
The last rites of Rajesh Khanna were completed at Mumbai’s Ville Parle crematorium today morning. His grandson, nine years old Aarav, lit the pyre with the assistance of his dad Akshay Kumar.
Thousands of fans accompanied the procession braving heavy rain. Celebrities like Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan were also present at the crematorium.
Kamal Hassan remembers Rajesh Khanna
Kamal Hassan expressed his sadness over the demise of Bollywood superstar, Rajesh Khanna and shared some of his memories of the star. He had met him when he was an upcoming actor and Khanna was already an established star and Kamal revealed that the latter had the kindness to treat him as a friend.
Khanna used to advise Kamal and sometimes the advise would be taken and sometimes it would not, Kamal said with a smile. He said that Rajesh Khanna was one of a kind and nobody can hope to achieve the kind of stardom and craze he enjoyed. Finally, he conveyed his condolences to Khanna’s friends and family and said they will feel consoled in time.
