At the audio launch of Mannaru, which happened at the Sathyam Cinemas recently, lyricist-music director-director Gangai Amaran said that Udhayan’s music in Mannaru reminds him of the music scored by his family. Lashing out heavily on the mindless music scored these days, Gangai Amaren said that Udhayan’s music is pleasant to hear.
SP Muthuraman also praised the music director for giving a lovely duet.
Mannaru is directed by Jai Shankar and stars Appu Kutty, Swathi, Vaishali, Thambi Ramaiya, Pandiarajan and others. After several years, SP Shailaja had crooned a song along with Krishna Raju.

Mannaru wining positive reviews has brought joy to Apukutty. The National award winner played an innocent youth in the movie that won him greater accolades.
Directed by Jai Shankar, the movie featured him in the lead role with Thambi Ramiah penning the dialogues and lyrics besides playing a key role.
