The film, apart from Rajini, stars Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sharat Kumar, Nasser, Aadhi, Shobana and Shabana Azmi.
The music release of the film is planned in Tokyo and multi-city premieres of the film are being planned across Los Angeles, London and India.
According to sources,the makers have already begun marketing the film. As part of their marketing strategy, they have tied up with Karbonn mobiles, and 5,00,000 Kochadaiyan mobiles will be launched to celebrate the release of the film.
The Kochadaiyaan mobiles will have exclusive screen savers and images from the film along with the trailer and signature tune of the film. They will also contain behind-the-scenes footage, movie trailers and songs..and with all this,The back panel of these phones will bear the digital signature of Superstar Rajinikanth..
It is learnt that the mobiles will be released during the audio release of the film..
