Actress Shruti Hassan was recently in Kerala and the actress-musician-singer was happy about her trip to the neighbouring State.
‘I’ve grown up hearing Malayalam. When I was a school goer, I had come here as part of an exchange programme and spent a week in Kottayam. Lately, I’ve been here for gigs, holidays and for the shoot of a Telugu flick too,’ she was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
Shruti Hassan said that the state holds a special place in her father Kamal Hassan’s and her heart.
On the success and failure of her films, she said, ‘I have always been after good characters; not hits, because, whether a film does well or fails at the box office is not in my hands. What I can do is give my best and do justice to my character. So, I’m really happy that Gabbar Singh is not just a hit but a massive hit.’
