Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’ First Look unveiled!

Finally, the First Look poster of Kareena Kapoor‘s ‘Heroine‘ has been unveiled by Madhur Bhandarkar and the poster oozes style, mystery, attitude and everything that was demanded out of it.

The first look poster that has an upside down picture of Kareena Kapoor lying down wearing a golden dress, a wine glass on the bed that also has magazines that have featured her in the cover speaks for itself as the movie is about a leading Bollywood actress.

After delivering critically acclaimed films that surprisingly shocked the audience with different angles through ‘Chandni Bar‘, ‘Page 3‘ and ‘Fashion‘, Madhur Bhandarkar is working on ‘Heroine‘, his pet project that will take audience on a journey to see what really goes on behind the world of glitz and glamour.

Featuring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead, ‘Heroine‘ was initially supposed to roll with Aishwarya Rai but she had to opt out of it owing to her pregnancy.

Kareena Kapoor’s hot Halkat Jawani for Heroine

We have seen some sneak peeks and some very hot stills, but now we have more scoop about Kareena Kapoors’s hot item number for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine. Choreographed by dance master Ganesh Acharya, the song ‘Halkat Jawani’ by the great Salim Sulaiman, has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar said of the actress in the number: “Scintillating & beautiful. She has been mindblowing.” Ganesh agrees and and we hear during the shoot of the number, he called out Superb!

As you know, the film is about the rise and fall of a Bollywood star and so we can expect scenes of a film within a film. For Halkat Jawaani, it is an item number of the heroine of Heroine. According to the director the shot is, “actually an award function where Kareena Kapoor is performing.”

Talking about the number the actress said, “This is the raunchiest number I have ever done. There’s so much exposure. I have always done classy songs. This song has more mass appeal.”

We also have sneak peek into the lyrics, “Life ki naughty kahani, hai halkat jawaani.” Though what halkat means no one can say, Kareena joked, “I don’t know from where Madhur gets these words.”

We did question Sulaiman on the music of Heroine in our interview with him for their upcoming tour in the UK, but he would not give us much. All he would say was, “You will have to wait but I can say the songs are really big. Probably the biggest songs we have done.” You can be sure we will be getting back to him again once the OST is released.

Check out these stills of Kareena looking gorgeous in the Manish Malhotra fuchsia lehenga with mangoes printed on it. Apparently according to Kareena, Mangoes are in, she said laughingly, “Isn’t it the season for mangoes?”

To get her hot body in even better shape for the role, Kareena went on a special diet by her nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar for weeks and as you can see it was very successful “In fact, most of the people on the sets are now following the diet,” the actress revealed.

Did you know that there is special significance to the release date of September 21st? The director says, “This film is a gift to Kareena. I have postponed the release to her birthday -September 21.”
