Happy birthday Dhanush!

Born on July 28th, 1983, film star Dhanush celebrates his 29th birthday today. Dhanush’s debut in Kollywood was with Thulluvadho Ilamai which was directed by his dad Kasthuriraja. His brother Selvaraghavan had written the story of this film.

Thulluvadho Ilamai turned out to be a big hit and both the siblings were on their way to stardom – Dhanush as an actor and Selva as a director.

The star went on to work in several films later but it was the Vetrimaran-directed Aadukalam that fetched him the coveted National Award for Best Actor.

Dhanush is all set to foray into Bollywood soon with the film Raanjhnaa. He also has a number of projects lined up in Kollywood needing his attention.

Dhanush’s production venture kickstarts

The maiden production venture of Dhanush, which has Siva Karthikeyan in the lead role, got a kickstart in Chennai. It is being directed by Manikandan, a former associate of Vetrimaran.

Veteran cinematographer Balumahendra, Dhanush and Vetrimaran took part in the film’s launch. A happy Siva Karthikeyan thanked the three popular personalities for attending the event.

Touted as a romantic entertainer loaded with comedy and emotions, the movie is untitled yet. It is expected to have a new face as the heroine.

Siva Karthikeyan, a popular television anchor, turned an actor with Marina. Later he did a cameo in Dhanush starrer 3. At present, he is playing one of the protagonists in Pandiraj’s Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga.
