Get readty for Amy Jackson’s Tamil

When even the top actors, who roots from the south prefer to have a dubbing artiste to speak for them, the British beauty Amy Jackson has opted to do it herself. For her upcoming release, Thandavam, Amy Jackson has dubbed in Tamil for her own part and director AL Vijay is very happy that the actress is picking up Tamil pretty fast.

Thandavam, which has Vikram and Anushka in the lead, was wrapped up recently and is expected to hit the screens in September.

She is probably one of the few actresses in Kollywood to dub for her characters in films. After having spoken her lines in Madrassapattinam, we hear actress Amy Jackson is all set to dub for herself in her second Tamil film, Thaandavam.

Confirming the news, producer Dhananjayan says, “Amy Jackson plays a British-born-Tamil girl in the film, and her lines are mostly in ‘Thanglish‘! She has picked up a bit of Tamil already. So, Vijay is working on getting her to remember her lines now.”

Interestingly, Amy had posted a picture of her cat and the dialogue sheets and wrote, “Sebastian is trying to help with my Tamil… Bless him!”

AL Vijay says, “Amy dubbed for herself in Madrassapattinam and she spoke her lines, both in English and Tamil. I’d flown down to London for the dubbing then. In Thaandavam, she has to have a modern accent to her Tamil and would be a perfect choice. However, we will do a voice test first before starting dubbing.”

The Telugu version of the film, titled Shivathaandavam, was launched recently.

Buzz have it that British girl is super excited about the trip next week since she is going there for her best friend Olivia’s wedding.

And to surprise her alter ego, Amy Jackson has planned her bachelorette party in Spain, and their must-do list includes experimenting with a bunch of adventure sports too. Having already shopped in London during her previous trip there, Amy is apparently also picking up a lot of memorabilia for her friend from India, with whom she shares hand in glove chemistry.

Evidently Amy Jackson is dam excited as well as happy in her friend’s happiness and leaving no stone unturned to make it way more special. While Amy’s ensuring that the wedding celebrations turn out to be a fun affair, do we dare assume that she will get inspired by her bestie soon?
