Actress Deepika Padukone looked toned and tormenting in a Isabel Marant Ipa tie-dye red and white skinny jeans and white tank at the launch of Cocktail inspired collection of ethnic wear by Melange at Lifestyle Store in Phoenix Mills, Mumbai on Thursday, July 5, 2012.
The 26-year-old former model kicked off the promotions of her upcoming film in a boho-chic look. Though we are not always very enthusiastic about stars dressing in-character for promoting their films, but when in-character is incredibly hot, who would complain?
Deepika Padukone plays Veronica, a strong super confident girl who flaunts her attitude. She is affable, passionate, and sometimes a fiery person, who lives life the way she wants to and not the way society expects her to.
Heck! We wouldn’t complain if Deepika Padukone played Veronica in all her future films, as long as we get to feast on her hotness.
Deepika Padukone was accompanied to the event by Cocktail co-producer Dinesh Vijan.
She wore the patterned jeans with rolled cuffs from the SS12 collection of the designer. The sheer white tank revealed her black bra underneath.
She accessorized with tan ankle strap thong sandals, matching slim belt and costume jewelry consisting of a pendant necklace and multi band ring.
Her hair was styled in a side-swept sleek fishtail braid. The top of her hair was done to look undone, with few hair left loose to frame her face.
Warm colored lipstick, smudged kohl liner on eyelids and coral pedicure rounded the incredibly hot look that was apt formal wear for the sultry afternoon.

Deepika Padukone is in character while promoting her upcoming film Cocktail – which is about friendships, love, betrayal and while at it, she opens up about the journey of her personal life: relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.
Talking about how it is to fall in love in real life she says it just happens without you knowing it.
“I guess when it happens to you, you don’t even realise that it is happening to you.”
Deepika Padukone emphasizes friendship first. She says friendship is a must in a relationship and that is what she and Ranbir did not have when they dated, or they would be still together.
“I guess every romance or every relationship begins with friendship so its the key. I guess everyone should start off as friends and not jump to the next level immediately. Then the relationship will last much longer.”
She denies any awkwardness in working with Ranbir in Ayan Mukherjee’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
“Not at all. You know there is a friendship that we developed putting aside what we went through. We discovered the friendship that did not exist even when we were in relationship and that’s what I value the most.”
She says he is a fantastic co-star, and she really admires him when it comes to acting.
If only all exes could get along so well!

Excitement has set in B-town when news about another character in ‘Cocktail’ cropped up of late.
And that is the boyfriend of Deepika Padukone in the film – guess who is it? The hot and dashing – Randeep Hooda! Yes, the good-looking actor is also part of the Homi Adajania’s film, but for in a cameo role.
Looks like Randeep’s last box office impressions namely ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ and ‘Jannat 2′ has made him enter the next in-thing list.
Already, the trailers looks fun and exciting, now with Randeep on board, the Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone-Diana Penty starrer turns out to be much more interesting to look forward.
