We don’t hear much about Padmapriya nowadays. She is in the news recently, though not for a good one. Director MA Nishad, has lodged a complaint with the producers council against Padmapriya saying that she did not cooperate while filming ‘No 66 Madhura Bus‘.
According to MA Nishad, she had agreed to accept a remuneration of Rs 8, 00, 000 but later insisted that she be paid an extra sum of Rs 2, 00, 000 and though he agreed to pay the sum after deducting the tax at the source she said the sum should be paid to her in its entirety.
MA Nishad also said that she would not turn up for the shoots on time and the delay caused the production costs to escalate. Moreover she did not participate in any promotional activity and her non – cooperation resulted in the film not doing well at the box office.

Padmapriya’s answer to allegation
‘Whatever I have to say, I will explain it to the producers association.’ This is the reaction of Padmapriya to allegations levelled against her by a Malayalam filmmaker.
Director MA Nishad, who directed Padmapriya in his latest film No 66 Madhura Bus, has filed a complaint against her and her manager at the film chamber.
According to Nishad, she had agreed to accept a remuneration of Rs 8, 00, 000 but later insisted that she be paid an extra sum of Rs 1, 00, 000.
MA Nishad’s grouse is that Padmapriya was bound by contract to shoot for publicity stills and attend promotional events which she was reluctant to do. ‘But she did not cooperate,’ he added.
