The Billa 2 new trailer has taken the Ajith fans by storm. The latest video footage, which was released on the evening of July 2, has got a record number of hits on video-sharing website YouTube.
The Ajith’s trailer recorded five lakh views in just 48 hours and it is said to be the highest ever views recorded for any trailer of a Thala film in two days. As of now, the clipping has been viewed 649,870 views on YouTube.
The buzz is that the trailer has driven the actor’s fans crazy and they are watching it over and over again. The link is also being shared through social networking websites and e-mails. The latest trailer gives hint about David Billa’s transformation from an ordinary man to underworld kingpin. It also shows Ajith mouthing some punch dialogues and doing some hair-rising action sequences. Meenakshi Dixit, Vidyut Jamal and others are also seen in the trailer

However, the trailer, which was released on Monday (June 2) around 7 pm after the plans of launching it through a function went for a toss, received over 3.5 lakh hits in less than 24 hours.
Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan, and Bruna Abdullah starrer Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti. The movie will hit the screens on July 13.
Ajith’s Billa 2 beats Ranbir Kapoor’s Barfi on YouTube!
Ajith has proved his star power again, as his latest trailer of his upcoming movie Billa 2 has garnered more attention than a much-awaited Bollywood film. Well, the new teaser of the Tamil movie has got more hits on video-sharing site YouTube than Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana starrer Barfi.
Billa 2 and Barfi trailers were released on July 2 evening and both the trailers have been overwhelmingly welcomed by fans. But the interesting part of the story is that the teaser of Tamil film got more views than the Bollywood movie. While the Ajith’s film managed to cross five-lakh mark in 48 hours, the Ranbir Kapoor’s movie could only manage to cross 4.75 lakh hits.
At the end of second day, Ajith’s Billa 2 trailer had got 522,452, whereas Barfi had received 482,254 hits. However, the current views stand at 662,030 and 595,765, which clearly shows that Billa 2 is way ahead of Barfi.
Barfi is a romantic comedy film directed by Anurag Basu. It is a heart-warming tale of Murphy (a deaf and dumb boy) and Jhilmil (a mentally challenged girl) and Ileana D’Cruz. The film talks about the prankster Murphy, whose bitter-sweet relationships with Illeana and Priyanka would lead to twists and turns in their respective lives.
On the other end, Billa 2, which is a sequel to Billa, is a gangster-thriller starring Ajith Kumar, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the leads. It is about David Billa’s transformation from an ordinary man to underworld kingpin. It is directed by Chakri Toleti.
