Billa 2 is a a gangster thriller, which narrates the of David Billa‘s earlier life. In the Movie, Ajith has been playing the lead role. The movie revolves around an ordinary man from Tamil Nadu, who becomes a dangerous underworld don.
In the movie, Parvathy Omanakuttan has been playing the love interest of Thala in the film. Bruna Abdullah is the other highlight of the film while Vidyut Jamwal has done several stunts along with Ajith.
Critics believe that Billa 2′ will be the second biggest Tamil release after Rajnikanth’s ‘Enthiran’. It will also be proved milestone for Ajith’s career.
Billa 2 is a gangster-thriller film directed by Chakri Toleti. It is a prequel to the 2007 film Billa and would focus on how David, an ordinary man from the coastal regions of South Tamil Nadu, becomes Billa, a dreaded underworld don, with Ajith Kumar reprising the role of the titular character.
It also features Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey in supporting roles, all of whom making their debut in Tamil cinema.
The film, which is being produced by Wide Angle Creations in association with the Hinduja Group company IN Entertainment.
Billa 2, which releases big on July 13, is an Indian Tamil gangster-thriller movie. The movie is a prequel to Billa, 2007 Tamil film.
Billa 2 focusses on how a normal man from the coastal areas of South Tamil Nadu, changes into Billa, a feared underworld don. Ajith Kumar reprises the Billa role. Ajith Kumar has trimmed his body as the story demands him to look like a 20-year-old youngster.
The star cast of the movie include Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Rahman, Prabhu, Manoj K. Jayan, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey.
Parvathy Omanakuttan, Vidyut Jamwal, Sudhanshu Pandey and Bruna Abdullah all of them make their first appearance in Tamil cinema.
Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music while R. D. Rajasekhar has handled the camera and Suresh Urs has done the editing job.
The important feature of Billa 2 is it is filmed with an RED EPIC Camera running at its full 5K and thus becoming the first Indian production to be shot with it. Such types of cameras were recently used in James Cameron’s Avatar. The movie is also much talked about for its action sequences as many stunt masters have worked on it, to make the fight sequences in a thrilling way.
The film is produced by Wide Angle Creations in association with the Hinduja Group company IN Entertainment. Initially, in November 2010 it was officially announced that Vishnuvardhan was the director of the movie and Nirav Sha, the cinematographer. But, Vishnuvardhan was replaced by Chakri Toleti and Nirav Sha was replaced by RD Rajasekhar due to conflicting dates.
Later, a new script was penned by a team involving Eric Felberg and Toleti. The shooting for the movie began in July 2011 and was completed by December 2011. The filming took place mainly at Georgia, Hyderabad and Goa. Billa 2 releases worldwide on 13 July 2012. The dubbed Telugu version is named as David Billa and it is also releasing on the same day in Andhra Pradesh.

Billa 2 is the first Indian film to release in 13 French cities. It is also the first Tamil film to release in Belgium. Even war-torn Jaffna in Silence will see Billa 2 in 4 theaters.

As expected the story about on How the Refugee turning out as a Don. The first few minutes of the movie touching the srilkan refugee issue which is really gonna create a impact among tamilians and gonna create a new market for Ajith in NRI Area.
Its really gonna be a electrifying for fans whenever Ajith appearing in a screen. As usual Ajith carried himself superbly throughout the film. Especially the stunt sequences are rocking.
This film really gonna take Ajith to next level in his career. Once again this movie expected to break all the collections of Kollywood.
Like Mangatha for VP, For Chakri this gonna create a good place in Tamil Cinema
Technically the film is outstanding.

Billa 2 fever hits Chennai
After having delivered a hit with his last venture, Mankatha, Ajith is now gearing up for the release of his Billa 2.
Directed by Chakri Toleti and starring Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Sudhanshu Pandey and Vidyut Jamwal, the film has been in the news for its stylish making and uber cool action scenes.
Tickets in all the single screen and multiplexes seem to have been already booked by Thala fans, and the first show on the first day begins as early as 4 am. Ardent fans are already queuing up to book tickets for the weekend.
Though there aren’t any premieres being held in the city, the producers have already had a sneak preview in Mumbai for close friends and family. And everyone in the industry is already raving about the movie and waiting to catch it on the big screen. With the prequel to Billahaving caught everyone’s attention, hope it lives up to the expectation it has generated as well.
