Dispelling all rumours about the song that he is composing for the London Olympics this year, the Oscar winning music director AR Rahman said that it is a Punjabi track to celebrate the Indian influence in the UK.
There were rumours that a song from one of his popular hits will be a part of the medley during the Olympics inaugural ceremony but Rahman has confirmed that it is a Punjabi track which has been composed specifically for the purpose.
Incidentally, director Danny Boyle is in-charge of the Olympics inaugural ceremony committee and he had requested the Oscar winner for a unique composition.
It may be recalled that AR Rahman won the Oscar awards for scoring the music for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.
