Ilayaraja’s daughter Bhavatharini will be wielding the music baton after a long time.
Bhavatharini had composed music for films like Mitr, My Friend, Phir Milenge and Geeya Geeya earlier. She has now been roped in to score the tunes for Vellachi, a village-based subject that will be directed by debut director Velu Vishwanath.
The film went on floors yesterday and expectations are high on Bhavatharini’s music particularly because her maestro dad is known for giving quite a lot of great chartbusters.
It may be added here that Bhavatharini is the daughter of Ilayaraja and sister of music directors Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.
