Close on the heels of the world premiere of Idukkan, a short film by Hariharan Viswanathan, at the Cannes film festival, comes The Messiah that was the official selection at the film festival’s Short Film Corner.
The film written and directed by Sharath Joshi, tells the tale of a young boy who brings a change in the life of an older and rich man.

The film has received a lot of critical acclaim in a short time and has been selected as the winner of Best Short Film for Acting at the Norway Tamil Film Fest 2012.
Child artiste, Dhesappan, bagged the award. Impressed by the script, Praveen Kumar, readily agreed to produce the film and is immensely pleased with the accolades it has received from all corners.
The film also stars Girish and Ramesh in lead roles. The film’s music has been scored by Dayanand Piraisudan and is one of the highlights of the film.
