Come Friday, director Vasu Baskar’s Marupadiyum Oru Kadhal will hit the screens. Produced by Seema Manimekalai, the movie stars Mollywood star Anirudh and newcomer Joshna in the lead roles.
Says Vasu Baskar, ‘The movie is based on a true-life incident that took place in a medical college in London.’ Suman appears in an emotionally charged role. Srikanth Deva’s music for the film is a major highlight, he says.
Another major highlight of the movie is that comedian Vadivelu plays a prominent role. Vadivelu plays quack doctor Singaram and I can vouch that his comic antics will bring the roof down, says the director.
On his part, Srikanth Deva says, ‘ we have come up with songs that are quite different from each other. The film is catchy, commercial and emotional’.
A major portion of the film was shot in London. We shot in some exotic locations and it would be a visual treat, says Anirudh.
