Mysskin is in the final stages of his upcoming film Mugamoodi starring Jeeva in the lead. The film is billed as the first ‘super-hero film’ to have been made in Tamil and brings the Bangalore-based hottie Pooja Hegde to Kollywood who is all set for her debut in Tamil films. The film’s shoot is about to be wrapped up, informs the director.
“It’s a typical story of a middle-class boy who comes across many disappointments in life before finally reaching the zenith. I have only watched Jeeva from a distance prior to the commencement of the film’s shoot. Only when the film’s shoot began that we came to understand each other very well. This understanding has made us gel in a nice manner. As and when the film is released, viewers would realize that except Jeeva, no other hero would have fitted the role in a better manner.
“In Hollywood films, the villain would usually be of equal strength as that of the hero. Naren, who plays the villain in Mugamoodi, has a powerful role in the film. Pooja Hegde is there to up the glamour quotient. Nasser plays a cop in the film which has some good songs by Sathya. Jeeva’s super-man costume has been created by Hong Kong-based Wilking.
“The costume generates so much heat that it’s difficult to put it on for 10 minutes on the trot. The dress had been manufactured by mixing many materials. Jeeva, who is a committed actor, didn’t complain even once and has done a wonderful job. Tony Lung, a veteran Hollywood stunt choreographer who fought with the legendary Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon, has choreographed some amazing stunt sequences in the film.
“To sum up, Mugamoodi might turn out to be a super-hit and memorable film not only for Jeeva as an actor but for me too as a director,” concludes Mysskin.
Mugamoodi Release Date Confirmed!
Dhananjayan, Chief – South Film Business, Disney-UTV, is full of praises for Jeeva, the lead star in Mugamoodi. He has lauded the star for his performance in the film especially in the emotional scenes. Adding that Jeeva completes the shots in one take, Dhananjayan said that it is a delight to watch the team at work.
On director Mysskin, he said that he is doing a fantastic job and is making sure that each shot is unique.
Mugamoodi’s shooting is going on at a brisk pace during the nights. He said that the film is planned for release on August 31st and the first look and trailer will be launched in 10 days’ time.
