Actress Bhavana is celebrating her birthday, June 6th, 2012! Born as Karthika Menon, the actress underwent a name change to pursue her film career. Her debut vehicle was the Malayalam film Nammal, which won her the Kerala State Film Special Jury Award and the Asianet Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Since then, Bhavana has established herself strongly in the south Indian film industry. Though she was predominantly seen in Malayalam films, Bhavana ensured that her career spread to Kollywood, Tollywood and Sandalwood as well.
Some of her memorable Tamil films were the Ajith starrer Asal and Vinay starrer Jayamkondaan.
