Day one of SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) 2012, glammed up Dubai like never before. Stars from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industry set the red carpet and the stage on fire as they switched wardrobes to do the catwalk. In the midst of all the glitz and flashlights, we spotted some stellar looks.
Beauty queen Parvathy Omanakuttan channeled her supermodel avatar on the runway as she dazzled an adoring crowd. Shruti Haasan went the sequined route in a burgundy Atsu Sekhose design with sheer sleeves. There were quite a few mini dresses that raised eyebrows and those belonged to Sonia Agarwal and Amala Paul.
But the highlight of the evening clearly was the arrival of Trisha & Rana Daggubati. They didn’t walk in hand-in-hand, but all seems to be well between the two. It was only recently that we heard that the two’s relationship had hit the rocks. Hopefully, that no longer holds true.
Unlike the women who went the whole hog, the men oscillated between casuals and sherwanis. Maddy opted for the former while Sarath Kumar went the ‘dressy’ way.
It was certainly a night of high fashion at Dubai on day one.

actress looks very good in red dress really awesome
Parvathy Omanakuttan in Nadhigal Nanaivathillai!!!
Having a famous debut in “Billa 2″ with Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan did not take up any Tamil films for quite a while. She signed up for the film “Nadhigal Nanaivathillai” which is to be directed by Nanjil PC Anbazhagan who has given films like Murali and Laila’s “Kamarasu” and the historical film “Ayyavazhi”.
Parvathy Omanakuttan says that the break in taking up Tamil movies was because she did not find a script she liked and that the story of “Nadhigal Nanaivathillai” caught her eye. The film which has Pranav pairing up with Parvathy also has Ganja Karuppu, Madurai Muthu, TP Gajendran, Banupriya and Bala Singh acting in it.
Soundaryan will be composing, while the lyricists are to be Pulamai Piththan and Muthulingam. The legendary KJ Yesudoss has sung two songs for this film too. The shooting for “Nadhigal Nanaivathillai” is to begin shortly.
