Venkat Prabhu’s next film

Last year release ‘Thala’ Ajith‘s ‘Mankatha‘ was a runaway hit for Director Venkat Prabhu. While expectations are high about Venkat Prabhu‘s next venture the director is yet to announce his next project and it is been almost 8 months now since his last release!

It was earlier reported that production house Studio Green had roped in Venkat Prabhu for their next production venture and it was also reported that either Surya or Karthi would feature in this mega project. But, the reports that came later said that Surya would be busy till the end of this year as he had already committed few projects it was Karthi‘s name that was still floating around.

Now, the sources close to the director says that even Karthi joining Venkat Prabhu‘s next, a comedy-thriller, is not sure as things are not falling in as expected. It is learnt that Venkat Prabhu is working on another script for a quick make of a film that involves a new band of actors.

Venkat Prabhu is holding discussions with few production houses for the making of this low-budget, full-length comedy film. If everything goes as per the plans of the director the announcement for the new film would come before the end of this month.

The director’s favourite music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has also given his nod to work for this film, and the usual actor group would also be featuring in vital roles in the film.
