Looks like the search has come to an end. Till a few days ago, debutant director Kalyan Krishna was maintaining that he was yet to zero in on a heroine for his maiden venture ‘Boologam‘, which has ‘Jayam’ Ravi in the lead.
Sources now say Trisha has been signed for the role. To be produced by Aascar V Ravichandran on a lavish budget, ‘Boologam‘, an action entertainer, will feature ‘Jayam’ Ravi in the role of a kick-boxer.

“Names of some top actresses were under consideration. Finally, Trisha has emerged the winner and the film will hit the floors on May 20. A grand set resembling a market area is being erected at a popular studio in Chennai for Boologam,” sources say.
The total cost of the set is said to be around Rs 1.5 crore. Remember Aascar V Ravichandran is always known for spending heavily on his films and the budgets of Shankar‘s ‘Anniyan‘ and Kamal Hassan‘s ‘Dasavatharam‘ are examples to it.

Trisha replaces Nayantara in Boologam?
Jayam Ravi was recently roped in to play the lead in a movie titled Boologam, to be directed by debutante Kalyanakrishnan, a long time former associate of S.P. Jhananathan. Boologam is to be produced under he banner of Aascar Films. Earlier there were reports that director Kalyan and his team met Nayantara and narrated the script to her, and she seems to have liked her character in it. Producer Aascar Ravichandiran was very keen on roping in Nayantara for the movie, as he likes Nayan’s style of work. But the latest buzz is that the team has finalised Trisha for the role.
