Politician-cum-actor Abhishek Ambareesh celebrated his 60th birthday in Bengaluru amidst much fanfare yesterday, May 29th, 2012. It was not just the film personalities from the Kannada film industry that were present at this event but also celebs from Mollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood. Noted politicians from throughout India were also present, say sources.
Rajnikanth, Kushbhoo, Mohan Babu, Lakshmi Manchu and several others made it to this birthday bash to wish Abhishek Ambareesh.
Ambareesh is a noted politician and was the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting between 2006-08. He is married to actress Sumalatha and the couple have a son Abhishek Ambareesh.

Kamal Hasaan sends video wishes to Ambareesh
The 60th birthday celebration of Kannada superstar-cum-politician Ambareesh was a star-studded affair, which was held recently in Bangalore..
According to sources,Superstars Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi were there. And also Telugu cinema’s Balakrishna and Mohan Babu were also present. Bollywood registered its presence with Shatrughan Sinha and Suniel Shetty, Jayaprada.
The entire Sandalwood presence was a virtual who’s who of the Kannada film industry.
And Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, who is a good friend of actor Ambareesh, wanted to be present at his birthday celebrations but his work on his Viswaroopam had him tied up.
But sources say,Kamal Haasan made time to shoot a video message for the star. The tape was to be aired at the function held in Bangalore. Similarly, many of the other actors have sent in video bytes, wishing the actor.
Actress Khushbu, who has acted with him in a few films, including Onti Salaga and Shanti Kranti was also part of the celebrations!!
