Bollywood actress and daughter of film star Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, has said that she is a feminist.
During an interview while attending the Cannes Film Festival, Sonam Kapoor has said that it is indeed demeaning to see women being portrayed as glam dolls in Bollywood films and this trend should end.
Adding that she is a feminist who cannot tolerate such acts, Sonam Kapoor said that the tastes of the filmmakers and the audiences should change for the better.
Sonam Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with the film Saawariya in 2007 and since then has established herself strongly in Bollywood. She was at the recently concluded 64th Cannes Film Festival as the brand ambassador for the cosmetics brand L’Oreal.
